“Ibrahim عليه السلام Breaks the Idols” is a lesson for the young hearts one that carries one of the most powerful stories in all of Islam. In a world where everyone around him bowed to stones, a young boy stood alone and asked the question no one else dared to ask.

The story opens in ancient Iraq, where the people prayed to the stars, the sun, and stone statues. A young boy named Ibrahim عليه السلام watched them and knew something was deeply wrong. He asked the people a simple but powerful question: “Why do you worship stones that can’t see, hear, or help you?” The people told him to stop talking. Ibrahim عليه السلام didn’t listen. He knew it was wrong, and he wasn’t afraid to say so.

One day, while the people were away, Ibrahim عليه السلام entered the temple with an axe and smashed every idol, leaving only the largest one standing with the axe hung around it. When the people returned and realised what he had done, they were furious and threw him into a huge fire. But Allah, The Protector, commanded the fire to be cool and safe. Ibrahim عليه السلام walked out of the fire untouched, leaving everyone in complete amazement. The lesson closes with a gentle duʿa, inviting little ones to ask Allah to make them brave like Ibrahim عليه السلام.

Day after day, he whispered, promising them they would become like angels or live forever until one day, they ate from the tree.

What follows is a lesson in something every child needs to know: that making a mistake does not mean all is lost. Adam عليه السلام and Hawwa’ علیہا السلام felt deeply sorry, asked Allah to forgive them, and He did. They were asked to leave Jannah and begin life on Earth, where Allah honoured Adam عليه السلام by making him the first Prophet chosen to teach people to worship Allah alone, to do good, and to stay away from bad. They raised their children with the same message: always do what Allah says, and beware of Shaytan’s whispers.
