This lesson follows Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام and his son Ismaʿil عليه السلام as they face a test that asks everything of them.

Ibrahim عليه السلام receives a command from Allah in a dream. He tells Ismaʿil عليه السلام, and a child replies with something remarkable: “O my dear father! Do as Allah commands.” On the way to Mina, Shaytan tries to stop them three times. Ibrahim عليه السلام ignores him and throws stones. Then, just as the knife is lowered, Angel Jibril arrives with a sheep. They had passed the test. Allah, The Almighty, was pleased. The lesson ends with something learners can connect to right now: we sacrifice animals on Eid al-Adha because of this moment, this love, this obedience.

Ibrahim عليه السلام Moves His Family to Makkah

This Sirah lesson tells the story of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام and one of the greatest acts of trust in Allah ever recorded, in a way that young learners will remember for years to come. It follows Ibrahim عليه السلام as he leaves Iraq, begins a new family, and carries out Allah’s command to settle Hajar عليها السلام and baby Ismaʿil عليه السلام alone in the empty desert of Makkah.

Through full-colour illustrations and gentle storytelling, learners witness Hajar عليها السلام trust in Allah as she runs between the mountains of Safa and Marwah seven times in search of water for her thirsty child. They discover how Allah, the Most Kind, answers her trust by sending the blessed water of Zamzam gushing from the ground. At the heart of the story is a message every child can hold on to: Allah takes care of us when we trust Him and do what He says.

Surah al-Hujurat – Week 3 – We Are Brothers and Sisters – Worksheet

We Are Brothers and Sisters focuses on the powerful verse “The believers are brothers, so make peace between your brothers. And be mindful of Allah so you may be shown mercy” (Surah al-Hujurat:10), teaching children that believers are all one big family sharing the bond of Islam and Iman even if they don’t share the same parents, house, or country
Teaches peacemaking strategies through understanding that Shaytan loves when people fight and argue but we are stronger than him when we do what Allah says, learning to be the one who ends arguments by letting the other person speak and listening to them, speaking gently and calmly without being rude or angry, and forgiving the other person even when they’ve done wrong
Includes tadabbur time reflection asking children to recite the ayah again with meaning and think about what command Allah is giving, how to act upon it at home and at school, and how arguing spoils the bond of brotherhood
Engaging practical activities including the “What Would You Say?” scenario where Maryam finds her school bag scattered with Asiya holding her reading book, choosing between “She did it on purpose!” or “Maybe it was an accident. I will ask,” and learning how Maryam should respond if Asiya admits she’s wrong using a word from Ayah 10
