• Stand spiritually at ʿArafah, understanding why this day is the heart of ḥajj and how Allah boasts to His angels about the pilgrims who gather in love, humility, and sincerity.
• Reflect on the Farewell Sermon of our beloved Prophet ﷺ, drawing timeless lessons on human dignity, equality, and steadfastness upon the Qur’an and Sunnah.
• Learn how to make duʿa on the Day of ʿArafah, including the ingredients of a heart-felt supplication and how to sustain hours of duʿa with presence, hope, and certainty.
• Uncover the secrets of ʿArafah, from its reminder of the Hereafter and the seven categories of people granted shade, to the extraordinary promise of freedom from the Hell-fire.
• Spend the night in Muzdalifah, following the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ and discovering how dhikr, gratitude, and rest beneath the stars prepare the soul for what lies ahead.
• Reflect on the duty to the ummah, including the liberation of al-Masjid al-Aqsa and the responsibility every pilgrim carries as a representative of a united global community.

• Part 1 (Verses 1-5) explores not proceeding ahead of Allah and His Messenger through the story of Abu Bakr and Umar raising their voices, understanding the three meanings of la tuqaddimu, not raising voices above our beloved Prophet’s ﷺ voice and showing respect even after his passing, not calling out to the Prophet ﷺ with impatience but rather waiting with respect and dignity, and developing taqwa through recognising that Allah is All-Hearing and All-Knowing
• Part 2 (Verses 6-10) discovers verifying news before acting upon it through the story of al-Walid ibn Uqbah and Banu al-Mustaliq, understanding the severe consequences of spreading unverified information that can lead to harm and societal division, explores fighting between believers and the obligation of immediate reconciliation, and understands believers as brothers through the powerful declaration that all believers are brothers with practical applications of treating all Muslims as family, defending their honour, feeling their pain, and supporting them in times of need
• Part 3 (Verses 11-13) prohibits mockery through the story of Thabit ibn Qays and our beloved Prophet’s ﷺ response about jahiliyyah, prohibits offensive nicknames and calling someone by a disliked name, warns against evil suspicion by thinking well of our brothers and sisters and giving them the benefit of the doubt, prohibits spying and backbiting through the powerful analogy of eating the flesh of your dead brother, and explains the wisdom of human diversity through understanding that Allah created people into different nations and tribes so they may know one another, with true superiority in Allah’s sight being through taqwa alone
• Part 4 (Verses 14-18) clarifies true iman through the Bedouins claiming “we believe” whilst Allah commanded our beloved Prophet ﷺ to tell them they have submitted but true belief has not yet entered their hearts, understanding the three qualities of true believers (belief without doubt, sacrificing wealth when it is uncomfortable, and sacrificing lives in Allah’s path), recognising that faith is not a favour to Allah or His Messenger ﷺ but rather Allah’s favour upon us, and internalising that Allah knows the unseen of the heavens and earth and is All-Seeing of everything we do
• Includes practical applications through reflection exercises asking what Allah is telling you, what Allah is asking you to do, how you can apply Allah’s words to your life, stories of how the Companions directly implemented Quranic guidance allowing them to transform themselves and their society, accompanying worksheets, encouragement to memorise the surah for recitation in salah, and journalling prompts to record personal duas whilst progressing through the study
