This crucial lesson introduces learners to envy (hasad), which means wanting something that another person has while being unhappy that they possess it. Children will discover that envy makes the heart dirty and is a major sin that literally eats away our good deeds like fire burns wood, according to our beloved Prophet ﷺ. The lesson features the tragic story of Habil and Qabil, the sons of Adam عليه السلام and Hawa عليه السلام, showing how jealousy led to the first murder on earth. Through interactive activities and authentic Islamic phrases, learners will understand that Allah knows what is best for us and has given each person special blessings to be grateful for.
