The lesson opens with a reassuring reminder from the Qur’an: “Allah wants to make things easy for you; humans were created weak” (Surah an-Nisa: verse 28). Even the blessed Companions of our beloved Prophet ﷺ made mistakes in their salah, what made them great was that they always turned back to Allah and sought to put things right. Building on this spirit of humility and accountability, learners discover that our beloved Prophet ﷺ taught us a merciful solution, if we miss an action, add an extra action, or feel uncertain during salah, we can perform two extra sajdahs, known as sajdah as-sahw.

The lesson explains the two situations in which sajdah as-sahw is performed, before the final salam, when a sunnah action has been missed, and after the final salam, when an extra action has been added. Learners also explore what to do when doubt arises during salah, as well as the important distinction between fard, sunnah, and mustahabb actions, and how each type of mistake is addressed.
