The lesson opens by establishing what ʿumrah is: a journey to the House of Allah performed outside the days of hajj, and a great sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ, who performed ʿumrah four times after hijrah. Learners discover its tremendous virtue through a Hadith from Bukhari, learning that performing one ʿumrah after another wipes away the sins committed in between. They are also introduced to the extraordinary reward of performing ʿumrah in the month of Ramadan, which our beloved Prophet ﷺ described as being equivalent to performing hajj alongside him.

The four steps of ʿumrah, ihram, tawaf, saʿy, and cutting the hair, are explained clearly and accessibly, with warm reminders to take one’s time and fill every moment with dhikr and duʿa. They also explore the immense rewards of tawaf, where every single step earns a good deed, erases a bad deed, and raises one’s rank in Jannah.
