Palestine: A Quranic Lens is a powerful, interactive session that guides learners to view the crisis in Palestine through the timeless wisdom of the Qur’an, answering the questions that weigh on every believing heart with clarity, certainty, and spiritual depth. At a time when confusion and grief can overwhelm the soul, this presentation returns learners to their greatest anchor: the word of Allah, which is constant, perfect, and never without an answer.

In this session, learners will:

Find Quranic answers to the hardest questions, understanding why Allah permits suffering, how trials purify the believers, and why the future ultimately belongs to those who are mindful of Him.

Draw lessons from the patience and steadfastness of the Palestinians, reflecting on what true ṣabr, contentment with Allah’s decree, and unwavering īmān look like in the face of oppression.

Discover what Allah wants from us, including standing firm, remembering Allah abundantly, following the Qur’an and Sunnah, maintaining unity, and never losing hope.

Understand the obligation to feel the ummah’s pain, reconnecting with the bond of brotherhood that unites every believer across the world.

Commit to personal action, identifying one sin to abandon, one Surah to study, and one step to take in strengthening the dīn of Allah.

A free lesson on Palestine for learners aged 14+, covering the history of the conflict, the virtues of al-Masjid al-Aqsa, and what Muslims can do.

The history of the conflict and the Nakba: The lesson traces the land grab from before the 1947 UN Resolution, when Zionists owned 6.5% of Palestinian land, through to the Nakba of 1948: 800,000 Palestinians uprooted, 530 villages destroyed, 34 massacres. The Deir Yassin massacre is covered in detail, alongside UN Resolution 194 and Israel’s refusal to honour it.

A day in the life of Ahmad: Ahmad is 12 and lives in a refugee camp in Jenin. The lesson follows him from 3:30 am his brother crossing one of 593 checkpoints for work, his father uncertain whether the wall gates will open to reach his family’s 400-year-old olive farm, Ahmad passing the spot where his neighbour was shot by a sniper on his way to school.

The virtues and status of al-Masjid al-Aqsa: The blessed land is sanctified in the Qur’an — the second masjid built on earth, the first qiblah, the place from which our beloved Prophet ﷺ was taken up to meet Allah, where he led all the Prophets in prayer. Today, only 400,000 of the 7 million Palestinians can visit it.

Gaza and the life of Imad: Imad is also 12, living in Gaza, declared by the UN as unfit for human habitation, where 80% of residents depend on humanitarian aid, 97% of water is unsafe, and children make up 47% of the population. Qur’an 14:42 closes the section: Allah never forgets what the oppressors do; He only postpones them until a Day when the eyes will stare in horror.

What Muslims can do: Nine responses are presented duʿa and istighfar, learning the history of Palestine and al-Aqsa, spreading truth, speaking to neighbours and colleagues, boycotting, protesting, donating, connecting to the Qur’an, and helping the dīn of Allah with the reminder that Allah will help the Ummah if they help His dīn.
