The Quranic Tarbiyah Curriculum aims to cultivate Allah-consciousness through its five topic areas.
Key Features
Iman-Focused
Imān is the central theme throughout the five subjects of the curriculum, ensuring it is embedded in the hearts and minds of learners. The Names of Allah are seamlessly integrated, fostering a strong connection with Allah ﷻ.
Qur’an-Centred
When ʿA’ishah (raḍiyaAllahu ʿanhā) was asked to describe the character of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, she replied:
His character was the Qur’an.”
Qur’anic Tarbiyah aims to place the Qur’an at the heart of the child’s learning and life.
Arabic vocabulary from the Qur’an & Sunnah
Key terminology from the Qur’an and Sunnah is incorporated into lessons, enriching learners’ Arabic vocabulary.
Inspires thinking and creativity
Activities, thinking starters, and discussion prompts are included to inspire reflective critical thinking and creativity in students.
Adaptive Teaching
The traffic light system and the levelled activities address the diverse needs of students while maintaining high expectations for all.
Action-Focused
Learning is designed to be practical, with dedicated sections like ‘Learning for a Life With Allah’ (LLWA) to encourage real-life application of knowledge.
Authentic
The content is based on authentic sources and is verified by scholars to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Duʿas and Adhkar
Authentic duʿas and adhkar are incorporated and reinforced throughout the lessons.
Memorisation
Memorising ayahs and short authentic hadiths is woven into the curriculum.
Values
Values are reinforced throughout the curriculum, especially through positive affirmations.
Stories
In line with Qur’ānic methodology, stories feature across the five subjects of the curriculum.
Enjoyable
Fun activities, stories and nashids to help children to make learning enjoyable and inspire love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
