Introduce young Muslim learners to the Beautiful Name of Allah ash-Shafi (The Healer) with this comprehensive lesson that explores both physical and spiritual healing . This thoughtfully designed lesson helps children understand that Allah is the ultimate source of all healing and cure, teaching them to turn to Him in times of illness whilst using the means He has provided.

Children will be captivated by the authentic story from the Sunnah titled “The Qur’an To The Rescue,” which tells of the Prophet’s ﷺ Companions travelling through the desert and encountering a tribe whose chief was bitten by a scorpion. Through this powerful narrative, learners witness how one of the Companions used Surah al-Fatihah to cure the chief, demonstrating the miraculous healing power of the Qur’an. The lesson includes practical worship applications, teaching children to make duʿa to Allah ash-Shafi when ill, take medicine whilst trusting in Allah, and regularly recite the Qur’an for healing. Students will learn and trace the authentic duʿa that our beloved Prophet ﷺ used when visiting ill family members, whilst interactive activities help them distinguish between physical and spiritual diseases and understand which ingredients and actions can help cure illness through Allah’s permission.
